Varsity Coach Lindsay PetersonThis fall will be Coach Peterson's 10th year at Millard North. She attended Millard North High school and graduated in 2001 with a volleyball scholarship to play at the University of North Alabama. In her junior year, the Lions won a D2 National Championship. Upon returning home to Omaha she began teaching in OPS and was the head assistant varsity coach at Omaha Burke for 4 years. After 4 years she took the head Varsity volleyball coaching job at Millard North and a teaching job at Kiewit Middle School. Her teams have made it to state the last 7 of those 9 years. They have won the Metro Conference Championship twice, once in 2017 and again in 2018. In 2016 she lead the Mustangs to a Class A State Championship and again in 2018. The 2018 team had a 38-2 record and was named a Top 10 team in the country by AVCA/Max preps. Peterson also was awarded one of the Top 40 coaches in the country in 2018 by the AVCA/Max preps and she was the Omaha World Herald's Female Coach of the year in that same year.
J.V. Coach Rian Robinson- This will be Rian's 3rd year coaching for Millard North and her 7th year coaching club volleyball. Rian played high school volleyball at Gretna where she was a state runner-up in 2013 and then went on to play at Morningside College her freshman year and then transferred to Peru State College where she earned All-Conference recognition in 2014 and 2015 as a 6 rotation right-side hitter. Rian currently works as a Senior Project Coordinator in a corporate office and enjoys hanging out at home when she's not at work or volleyball with her husband and their dogs, Millie & Moose, & their cat, Fetty! Volleyball is truly Rian's passion and she hopes that she can pass along her love of the game to the newest generation of volleyball players!
